The Equation: 7x-(5x-7)=51
First expand the brackets
-1*5x=-5x and -1*-7=7: 7x-5x+7=51
Subtract both sides by 7: 7x-5x=44
Collect like terms of x
7x-5x=2x: 2x=44
Divide both sides by 2: x=22
Finish! x=22
Now substitute x into the
original equation to check
the answer: 7*22-(5*22-7)=51
154-(110-7)=51
154-103=51
51=51
Completely Done!
