Please Help... I don't understand this question...

The measure of an angle is twenty-nine times the measure of a complementary angle. What is the measure of each angle?

angles are complementary when their sum is 90 degrees.

let's call your two (complementary) angles x and y.

we know two things about x and y:

1. x + y = 90

2. y = 29 * x

we can combine these two facts - one way is

x + y = x + (29 * x) = 30 * x = 90 or x = 3 degrees. if x=3, then y=29*3=90-3=87 degrees.
