for  x  =  0    ...x^2  =     (0)^2  = 0

for  x = ± 1   ...x ^2  =    (±1)^2   =   1

for  x = ± 2   ...x ^2  =    (±2)^2   =   4

for  x = ± 3   ...x ^2  =    (±3)^2   =   9

 

2. g(x)=-2x^2

for  x  =  0    ...-2x^2  =    - 2*(0)^2  = 0

for  x = ± 1   ...-2x ^2  =   - 2*(±1)^2   =   -2 * 1   = -2

for  x = ± 2   ...-2x ^2  =   - 2*(±2)^2   =   -2 * 4   = -8

for  x = ± 3   ...-2x ^2  =   - 2*(±3)^2   =   -2 * 9 = -18

 

3. h(x)=(1/4) x^2
