how to find five other trig functions given tan = -⎷3\7?

would sin equal -⎷3?

cos = 7?

CSC = 1/sin(-⎷3

sec = 1/cos(7)

We need to find "r"

This is given by :

sqrt [ (-sqrt (3))^2  +  (7)^2 ]  =   sqrt ( 3 + 49)    = sqrt (52)

The way you have the tangent written,  y is negative and x is positive....

sin  =  y / r  =  -sqrt (3) / sqrt (52)         csc  =  r/ y =    -sqrt (52) /  sqrt (3)

cos  =   x / r  =  7 /sqrt (52)                  sec  = r / x  =    sqrt (52) /  7

cot =  x / y  =    -7/ sqrt (3)

cool cool cool
