A cuboid has a volume 3136cm cubed. its length is 16 and its height and with are equal. find its width
so the height and width are a simple area. essentially a square. if you divide 3136 by 16 you have the total area of that square, one of the faces of the cuboid. in order to find the individual height and width (which are equal) you just take the square root of this new area.
3136/16=196
taking the square root of 196:
(196)^0.5 = 14
therefore the height and width are both 14
hope this helps
