SLope intercept form is    y = mx + b     where m is the slope and b is the y-axis intercept

so basically if you solve thequation for y  you will have it

-2(3x+4) + y =0

-6x-8 + y = 0

y=6x+8       and there it is !    m = slope = 6     intercept=8
