Cos[arc sin( 0.8)+arc cosec(2)]. how do you determine the value of this 

 

This is like cos(x+y)

So you use the cos expansion of  cos(x+y)

cos(x+y)=cosxcosy-sinxsiny

 

that is how I would start it :)

Then I would look at where it took me :)
