What is the recursive rule for the sequence?
−2.7, −8.3, −13.9, −19.5, −25.1, ...

A) an = an + 1 − 5.6, where a1 = −2.7

B) an = an − 1  + 5.6, where a1 = −2.7

C) an = an − 1 − 5.6, where a1 = −2.7

D) an = an + 1 + 5.6, where a1 = −2.7

Thanks to anyone who helps!

C) an = an − 1 − 5.6, where a1 = −2.7

Note that we are subtracting  5.6  from a previous term to get the successive term

So

Second term  =  -2.7 - 5.6  =  -8.3

Third term  =  -8.3  - 5.6  = -13.9      ....etc.
