In order for a number to be odd, the units digit must be 1,3,5,7, or 9.

For number with digits being 3,4,5, and/or 6, to be odd, the units digit must be 3 or 5.

 

This means that there are only 2 choices for the units digit: 3 and 5.

There are 4 choices for the tens digit: 3,4,5,and 6.

There are 4 choices for the tens digit: 3,4,5, and 6.

 

2*4*4=32

 

There are 32 three-digit odd numbers that can be formed with 3,4,5 and 6.
