0.245 is smaller than 0.5 . first to check and see which decimal is bigger, you have to have common decimal places. that means that if there is 3 numbers behind a decimal in one number, than there has to have 3 numbers behind the decimal in the second number. so put two zeros behind the 0.5 so it becomes 0.500 . then compare them. is 0.245 or 0.500 bigger? so act like the zero and decimal arent there. is 245 or 500 bigger?
