Write a formula showing the dependence of the mass of a cork on its volume, if the density of the cork is 0.18g/cm^3. Using the formula, find:

a) the mass of a cork with a volume of 240 cm^3

b)the volume of a cork with a mass of 64.8g

Use this well-known formula to calculate the unknowns in your problem: Density=mass/volume. Try it, and if you get stuck, let us know. Good luck.

thank you! I didn't get stuck so here is my answer:

a) Mass=Density*Volume. 0.18g/cm^3 * 240cm^3=     43.2g

b) Volume=Mass/Density. 64.8g/0.18/cm^3=     360cm^3

thanks :D
