C₂H₈N₂O₄   is  ammonium oxalate

MW = 12 + 12 + 8 + 14 + 14 + 16 + 16 + 16 + 16 = 124 gm / mole

5.01 x 10^-3 gm  / 124 gm/mole = 4.04  x 10^(-5) moles of ammonium oxalate

There is one ion of oxalate per ammonium oxalate molecule, so the number of oxalate ions

is the same
