Together, Seth, Charlie, and Riordan owned 270 stickers. Seth handed Charlie 3/20 of his stickers and Riordan 2/5 of his stickers. All three boys had the same number of stickers after that. How did Charlie and Riordan initially have different numbers of stickers?

Charlie and Riordan initially had different numbers of stickers even though they ended up with the same number of stickers after Seth gave them each a portion of his stickers. This is because the fractions of Seth's stickers that he gave to Charlie and Riordan were different.
