Solve for x:
5+(x-2)^2 = 30

Subtract 5 from both sides:
(x-2)^2 = 25

Take the square root of both sides:
x-2 = 5 or x-2 = -5

Add 2 to both sides:
x = 7 or x-2 = -5

Add 2 to both sides:
Answer: |x = 7            or              x = -3
