There are two cars that are 375 kilometres
apart. They are heading towards each other
on the same road. The fi rst car is travelling at 30 kilometres per hour; the
second car is travelling at 45 kilometres per hour.
After how long will they meet?

You can write an equation to find when the two cars will meet. 30h + 45h = 375
75h = 375
h = 5
After 5 hours they will meet.
