Do you mean?         You really need to learn to use brackets properly!!!!!

$$\frac{7}{8}\times \frac{a}{-3/4}\\\\
=\frac{7}{8}\times a\times \frac{-4}{3}\\\\
=\frac{7}{2}\times a\times \frac{-1}{3}\\\\
=\frac{-7a}{6}$$
