durimg sale the sweater was sold for $21. if the orignal price was $35, what was the percentage discount in the price?

To find the percentage discount use:

[Old Price - New Price] / Old Price x 100%    ..... so we have.....

[35 - 21]/ 35  x 100%  =

14/35 x 100%  = .40 x 100%  = 40% discount
