if you cancel out an e with ln, what happens to the coefficient of said e?

ln e  = 1

 

But...if we have something like this

 

ln (3e).....this equals     ln 3   + ln e    =   ln (3 ) + 1

 

Or...if we have something like this

 

ln e^3  .......this equals   3ln e   =  3 * 1  = 3
