It doesn't!

But it does equal zero:

$${{\mathtt{e}}}^{\left({i}{\mathtt{\,\times\,}}{\mathtt{\pi}}\right)}{\mathtt{\,\small\textbf+\,}}{\mathtt{1}} = {\mathtt{0}}$$

This is a famous equation known as Euler's equation.
