Hints:

Surface area is the sum of areas of all faces (Triangles, rectangles)

Area of Triangle = $$\frac{1}{2}*b*h$$

Area of Rectangle $$=W*L$$

Volume is the area of the cross-sectional multiplied by the length/height.

The volume of this shape is the area of the cross-sectional multiplied by the length between the two triangles on the right. (The long dotted line also)

Hello,

Volume: area of the trapezium ($$\frac{b_1+b_2}{2}*h$$)=$$\frac{8+5}{2}*4=26$$

Multiplied by the length (12)

$$26*12=312$$ Correct!

Surface:

$$(26*2)+(5*12)+(12*4)+(8*12)+(12*5)=316$$

Correct!
