Sorry....I diodn't look at ILP's answer closely enough....answer shoiuld  be

[3.5 x 10^(-6) ] / [ 5 x 10^(-2) ]  =

3.5 / 5    x     10^2 / 10^6  =

.7 x 10^(-4)  =

7 x 10^(-5)

Ok I will take a while to respond. Passing to next class, but cant use computer in next class.

(3.5/ 5) x 10 ^(-6 - -2) = .7  x 10^-4  = 7 x 10^-5

ok first set it up as a fraction. so it would like this (3.5*10^-6)

                                                                             (5.0*10^-2)         Divide 3.5/5= .7 then add the exponents which would -8

so your answer would be (.7*10^-6) but its not in scientific notation so it would actually be (7*10^-5) I got that answer by moving the decimal to the right once and decreasing the exponet by one.

Soooo I need an answer, but Im fairly positive that ILP is incorrect as you do not add on division.
