WHAT do you want to do with this???

s= 2r^2 + 2 rh

s = 2r (r+h)

s/(2r) = r+h

h=  s/(2r) - r

Need a little bit more information to your question.......OK?

If the right hand side is multiplied by pi, the resulting expression gives the total surface area of a cylinder of radius r and height h.
