2^4x=32^x+1

I assume this is. 2^(4x) = 32^(x+1)

 

Since 32 = 2^5 we can write 2^(4x) = (2^5)^(x+1)

 

This becomes 2^(4x) = 2^(5x+5)

 

Therefore we must have 4x = 5x + 5. Or x = -5
