A= -5

So A*2=-5*2

-10-b*6

b=7

So 7*6=42

-10-42=52

Answer    52

Evaluate the following expression for a = -5 and b = 7

a2 – 6b

Mmmmm....let's look at this again

We have

(-5)*2 - 6*(7) =

-10 - 42  =  -52

Evaluate the following expression for a = -5 and b = 7 a2 – 6b

I think that you may have meant

a2 - 6b

= (-5)2 - 6*7

= 25 - 42

= -17

Incidentally, a2 can also be written as a^2
