Both of those terms are angles. I will call them alpha (a) and beta (b)

a = tan -1(11/10) therefore
tan(a)=11/10
b = tan -1(3/22) therefore
tan(b)=3/22

Now, Tan( a+b) = [(tan(a)+tan*(b) ] / [1 - tan(a)tan(b)] This is a formula that you are expected to memorise

Tan (a+b) = (11/10 + 3/22)/(1-11/10*3/22)
=( (242+30)/220) / (1 - 33/220)
=( 272/220) / (17/20)
=(272/220) * (20/17)
=16/11
So
tan[tan -1(11/10)+tan -1(3/22) = 16/11

tan -1{tan[tan -1(11/10)+tan -1(3/22)}= tan -1(16/11)

tan -1(11/10)+tan -1(3/22) = tan -1(16/11)

I think that is as simple as it gets.
I am reasonably sure that one of the others will check my answer later. (Many are asleep now)
Anyway I think my answer is correct.
