You can do this 2 ways

(m-2) 2
=(m-2)(m-2)
=m(m-2) - 2(m-2)
etc

OR
you need to learn quite quickly that
[size=150](a+b) 2 = a 2 + 2ab + b 2[/size]

so
(m-2) 2
= m 2 + 2*m*(-2) + (-2) 2
= m 2 - 4m + 4
