How do I isolate x without using log?

Note that 1 = 3^0 ....so we have
3^(2 - 2x) = 3^0 since the bases are the same, we can solve for the exponents
2 - 2x = 0 add 2x to both sides
2 = 2x divide both sides by 2
1 = x
