I don't understand this: "y=ab^xy=abx" ... do you mean y = abx ?
If you do: (0,9) ---> 9 = a·b0
---> 9 = a·1
---> 9 = a
---> y = 9·bx
(3, 4608) ---> 4608 = 9·b3
---> 512 = b3 (dividing both sides by 9)
---> 8 = b (taking the cube root of both sides)
