how do i complete exponentially growing equations? For example. To have 28 squares on a board. To put 1 grain on the first square and 2 on the second and 4 and the third and 8 on the fourth. How would I do the equation to know the number of grains on the 28th square?

The number of grains on the 28th square is: 2^(28-1)=2^27

Total number of grains on all 28 squares is: (2^28) - 1
