Determine the equation of the raidcal function below in the form of \(y = \sqrt b(x-p)+q\). Make sure you show all work algebraically.

Treat it as a sideways parabola

 

vertex form      x = a (y+1)^2 + 5

  sub in one of the points on the graph to find   a   = -1/4

 

so you have    x = -1/4 (y+1)^2 + 5        now solve the equation for y     to complete your mission !
