how do you express using exponents?

I have a problem on my homework that says... ---> 16t(to the 4th power)/8t(to the 3rd power)...

I have to simplify. Express using exponents, i have a 16.80 in my 8th grade pre algebra class, i

$$\frac{16t^4}{8t^3}=\frac{2t^4}{t^3}=2t^{4-3}=2t^1=2t$$
