18 - 24x + 8x^2   Let's start by taking out the greatest common factor (2)    .....so we have....

2(9 - 12x + 4x^2)   And the polynomial in the parentheses is a perfect square trinomial, so we have.....

2(3 - 2x) (3 - 2x)  =   2(3 - 2x)2

And that's it !!
