Find the sum of the distinct prime factors of 123 + 456 + 789.

Let's first factor each number to the smallest it can be. We get

\(3 \cdot 41 + 3 \cdot 2^3 \cdot 19+ 3 \cdot 263\)

 

Notice that every number is a factor of 3. We get

\(3(41+152+263)\)

 

Adding every number inside the parenthesis, we get

\(3(456)\\ 3^2 \cdot 2^3 \cdot 19 \)

 

So 3, 2, and 19 are our numbers. 

 

\(3+2+19=24\)

 

So 24 is our answer.
