factoring x^2-6x-3

You won't be able to just factor this one in your head......you'll have to use the Quadratic Equation to solve for 'x'  which results in:

x = 6.464 ,  -0.464

So factoring would look like this:

 

(x + 6.464) (x - 0.464)
