I have absolutely no idea. I have asked this exact same question before and have never received an answer.
Most calculators give an error message but I know on this site calculator as well as in Wolfram alfpha calculator an answer is given.
I even wrote a letter to the contact address given at the top of this page asking them but they never responded.
In Wolfram Alpha they tak about the Gamma Function. Maybe you can make sense of it. I can't.
