Alexandre: If I have 1million dollars and put it into an investment that returns 0,5% a month, considering I withdraw 10thousand dollars a month, in how many months I will have no money left? What's the formula that solves this question?
If I was doing it I would use present value of an ordinary annuity.
It is 'ordinary' because' banks pay interest at the end of each time period.
And it is 'present value' because the future value is 0.
Do you have the formula?
(I did it quickly and got just under 139 months)
