Find an ordered pair , (x y) that is a solution to the equation.

There is an ifinite set of answers (the graph of this is a LINE of possible answers)       ....but here is one    4,1

 

Pick a value for 'x'    then solve for the 'y'

 

say x=6   then   6- 2y =2   4=2y   y=2        so   6,2 is another pair

 

x-2y=2

x-2 = 2y

(x-2)/2 = y       Use the graph fxn on the calculator to look at all of the possible answers
