The degree of the angle formed by the shadow at the top of the  pole is given by :

tan-1(900/12)  = 89.24°

And, of course, the angle formed by shadow 900 ft. from the pole = [90 - 89.24]° = 0 .76°

 So, to the nearest degrees we have 89 and 1, respectively.
