Hey there Mellie

In order to solve for the area of the parallelogram, you need to use this equation:

S= absinθ

Basically what this is:

S = the area

"a" and "b" = The the base and side; which in your case are 6 and 8

θ= The known interior angle, 45°

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Plug all these variables into the equation and you will get this:

S = (6)(8)(sin 45°)

S= 33.94

[So the area of the parallelogram is 33.94 ]

Thanks Chilledz3non :)

Hi Mellie,

I don't know if you have done trigonometry yet.  There is almost always more than 1 way to do these questions.

If you need them done in a different way then you need to tell us !    wink    laugh
