$${\mathtt{\pi}}{\mathtt{\,\times\,}}{{\mathtt{3}}}^{{\mathtt{2}}} = {\mathtt{28.274\: \!333\: \!882\: \!308\: \!139\: \!1}}$$     cm^2

To find the area of this circle you divide the 6 by 2 so the radius is 3. Now you multiply 3 by 3.14 so the area is$${\mathtt{3}}{\mathtt{\,\times\,}}{\mathtt{3.14}} = {\frac{{\mathtt{471}}}{{\mathtt{50}}}} = {\mathtt{9.42}}$$ 9.42 is the area!
