Find the area of the shaded sector with a radius of 14 and a central angle of 50 degrees. Leave you answer in terms of pi.

The area of a circle can be found using:  A  =  π · r2

When r = 14   --->   A  =  π · 142   --->    A  =  196π

If the sector contains 50°, then you want (50/360) of the circle:     A  =  (50/360) · 196π  =  245π/9
