D

There's a square root on the denominator of the solution.

multiply top and bottom by $\sqrt3$

The problem  is  in the  set -up

sin ^2  x   +   cos^2   x   =   1

But

(-sqrt (2)  / 2)^2    +   ( sqrt  (3)  / 2) ^2  =

         2/4     +  3/4      =     5/4

  { The  sine  should   probably  be   -1/2   to  make  this work }
