The two points are   ( 4 ,  5 )   and   ( 3 ,   6 )

                                  x1 , y1               x2 , y2

gradient, or   slope   =   (change in y's) / (change in x's)

                                 =   (y1 - y2) / (x1 - x2)

                                 =   (5 - 6) / (4 - 3)

                                 =   (-1) / (1)

                                 =   -1

Gradient  =  [ subtract the y's in some order ] / [ subtract the x's in the same order ]  =

[ 6 - 5 [ / [ 3 - 4]  = [ 1 ] / [ -1 ]   =  -1
