Finding Area of A Shaded Region of A Circle

How would I find the area of a shaded region of a circle?
Say the shaded region is 135 degrees and the radius is 4 inches. How would I find the area of that region?

find the area of the complete circle (360deg), then calculate only the part of the full circle (135deg).

Area of full circle divided by (360/135) is the area of the "shaded" area.
