For formula F(C)=9/5C+32 , C represents a temperature in degrees Celsius. Jaden is trying to convert 34 degrees Celsius to degrees Fahrenheit using the formula.

Which sentence describes his first step?

Add 34 and 32.

Substitute 34 for C.

Multiply 5/9 by 34.

Substitute 34 for F(C) .

We have that

F = (9/5)C + 32

We are trying to convert 34C   to  Fahrenheit

So.....the first step is to sub in 34 for C
