There are 3400 students at Central High School and 38 of these students are freshmen. If 35 of the freshmen are in favor of the school forming a track team and 15 of the remaining students (not freshmen) are also in favor of forming a track team, how many students are opposed to this idea?

3400 - 38 = 3362 (not freshman)

38 - 35 = 3 (freshman opposed)

3362 - 15 = 3347 (non-freshman opposed)

3347 + 3 = 3350

\(\boxed{3350}\) Students are opposed
