Let f(3) = 4.  Find a point that lies on the graph of g(x) = f(3x) + 1.

Point on  f =  (3.4)

In g(x)   the "3"   compresses  the graph by a factor of 3

So.....the new x coordinate  =  3/3    =  1

And in g(x), the "1"  shifts the y coordinate of  f  up by 1  =  4 + 1  = 5

So   ( 1, 5)   lies on g(x)
