How do I determine the function of an equation by its input/output.
There is a set of numbers in a row in Pascal's Triangle and I am trying to crack the function / formula for the set of numbers. I know it follows a certain pattern and thus must have a function / formula (I don't know the correct wording) but it is very hard to translate from pattern to practice in function format. How could I determine the function / formula given a few of its outputs (y values are the outputs I am given, the x values are just 1, 2, 3, etc. because its a set of numbers) ?
