In the form mx - b...... m = 4 = the slope....which is positive......then this function "Rises' [ increases ] from left to right....the end behavior on the left is toward negative infinity....and on the right it is positive infinity
f(x) = (-1/2)x + 3
The slope is negative and this function "Falls" [ decreases] from left to right......the end behavior on the left is toward positive infinity....and on the right it is negative infinity
