The functions f and h are defined as follows:     

f(x) = (x + 5)/(x - 7)  and h(x) = (x + 5)(x - 7).     

 

Explain why the functions f and h are not the same function.     

 

 

Because     f(x) is (x+5) divided by (x–7)     

whereas     h(x) is (x+5) multiplied by (x–7)     

 

That's why they're not the same.
